EXPLORE THE ARCTIC WEEK WINTER
DAY 1 - ARRIVAL AT ROVANIEMI
Our driver will welcome you at Rovaniemi Airport and take you to the Hotel Metsähirvas in the middle of Lappish nature. After the 25-minute drive, it’s time to settle in your scenic accommodation and enjoy the evening.
DAY 2 - SANTA CLAUS AND ARTIC ANIMALS
On day 2 you will find youself meeting the Santa Claus himself! You will first enjoy the breakfast in Hotel’s restaurant and then our guide will drive and guide you in the Santa Claus Village. You will meet the real Siberian Huskies (or fur-riends as we call them) in the most famous Husky Park in the World. Then you will also go meet the reindeer and have an amazing 400 m ride with them! Package includes also traditional lunch in wonderful restaurant.
DAY 3 - NORTHERN LIGHT ADVENTURE
Breakfast, free day, and your evening will culminate in the amazing Northern Lights with snowmobiles. This adventure goes through the Lapland’s beautiful frozen river surrounded by pristine forests, 30 km away from the city and other tour groups. The dark forest is full of magic, with the light of the snowmobiles shining on the snow. On the way we make stops to see if we could catch the Northern Lights and you can take pictures on your device to save the memories forever!
DAY 4 - LAPPISH CULTURE
Breakfast and then your day continues with the local culture. Our guide will drive you to the city and you can visit Arktikum, the local science centre/museum and Korundi, the culture house. You will learn a lot about lappish culture and Rovaniemi’s history. Day includes also lunch in the Arktikum.
DAY 5 - LOOKING UNDER THE ICE
After breakfast, you’ll have an unforgettable ice fishing and snowshoeing trip on the Finland’s longest river. You will also learn about Ahti, the god or possessor of water in Finnish folklore and ancient religion. While warming up by an open fire, you get to enjoy hot juice and treats. In the evening you will get to the traditional Finnish sauna next to the river and if you dare, you can also try ice swimming.
DAY 6 - BECOME A MUSHER
Breakfast, and heading to the woods! At this joyful escapade you get to drive your own husky sled in the pristine forests. By the open fire, Finnish treats and stories about the charming huskies fill your day with laughter and joy. Before the departure, our guide will give you instructions on how to control the sled. Then you will drive your team about 10 km through the forest and snowy landscapes! Are you ready for adventure?
DAY 7 - SAYING GOOD BYES TO ROVANIEMI
After the breakfast, we will drive you to the Rovaniemi Airport and it’s the time to say good byes to winter wonderland. ❄️
Price for the Explore the arctic week winter: 1990 €/ adult, 1490 €/child (4-12 years), under 4 years-old free.
The package includes thermal clothing for the whole visit (overalls, hat, sock, and balaclavas. To drive a snowmobile a valid driving license is required. Maximum personal liability in traffic insurance is 1000 €. We may change days with each other due the bad weather.
Cancellation terms for the Explore the arctic week winter:
If the reservation is cancelled or modified up to 31 days before arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged.
If the reservation is cancelled up to 21 days before arrival, 50 % of the total amount of the reservation will be charged.
For cancellations made later than 21 days before arrival or in case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

In the evening you hop on snowmobiles and go hunt the Northern Lights in mysterious surroundings of the frozen river and Lappish forest.

DAY 3 - MIDNIGHT SUN ADVENTURE
Breakfast, free day with lunch in Hotel MEtsähirvas, and your evening will culminate in the Midnight Sun adventure with quad bikes. This adventure goes through the Lapland’s beautiful pristine forests, 30 km away from the city and other tour groups. We leave the quad bikes for a moment next to a fell, take a short walk to on top of a fell, and you can take pictures on your device to save the memories forever!
DAY 4 - LAPPISH CULTURE
Breakfast and then your day continues with the local culture. Our guide will drive you to the city and you can visit Arktikum, the local science centre/museum and Korundi, the culture house. You will learn a lot about lappish culture and Rovaniemi’s history. Day includes also the lunch in the Arktikum.
DAY 5 - HEADING TO THE RIVER
After breakfast, you’ll have an unforgettable fishing and canoeing trip on the Finland’s longest river. We have there a magical island where you will learn about Ahti, the god or possessor of water in Finnish folklore and enjoy traditional lunch. In the evening you will get to the traditional Finnish sauna next to the river and go swimming if you are not scared by chill water!
DAY 6 - DAY TRIP TO CANYON OF KOROUOMA
Breakfast, and heading to the woods! Our guide will drive us about 100 km from Rovaniemi. The beautiful scenery with untouched Lappish forest and small river of Korouoma Canyon is breathtaking and we can admire that while hiking. Korouoma Canyon is one of the largest natural attractions that Lapland has to offer. We can also see waterfalls, which are quite unique here in Finland. We will also enjoy traditional lunch in Korouoma.
DAY 7 - SAYING GOOD BYES TO ROVANIEMI
After the breakfast, we will drive you to the Rovaniemi Airport and it’s the time to say good byes.
Price for the Explore the arctic week summer: 1290 €/ adult, 999 €/child (4-12 years), under 4 years-old free.
The package include thermal clothing if needed. FIshing trip include life vests. Midnight Sun quad biking inludes quad bikes, helmets, balaclavas, and traffic insurance. Maximum personal liability in traffic insurance is 1000 €. Quad biking is not recommended for children under 130 cm height. To drive quad bike, a valid driver’s lisence is required. We may change days with each other due the bad weather.
